Shazoot is a safe community for young families where parents are firmly in charge. It is based on the principle that parents should teach their children by example how to properly and safely navigate the world of social-networking long before they are allowed on adult sites like Facebook.

Shazoot was developed in conjunction with a team of leading educators, psychologists, and coaches/athletes to create a safe, educational and fun destination for families to connect and learn. 

Parents are able to create fun profile pages for each of their kids to celebrate accomplishments large and small, and to help build self esteem. Whether it’s through activities like ballet and chess or through sports like baseball and soccer, every kid has a safe platform to share aspects of their lives with those most important to them! Friends and family are invited to join as “Friends” and are kept in the loop with continually updated photos, videos, news and calendars. “Friends” can also leave messages and stay updated--providing a supportive, nurturing network. 

Activities Pages—covering news on 25 popular kids activities ranging from art to tennis--are updated with the latest news for families to read together and share each day. Be the most informed family in the neighborhood! 

Shazoot is dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure online experience for everyone, and offers a great opportunity for parents to introduce their kids to responsible social media practices in a safe, secure environment. Parents are in control at all times and children are not encouraged to access the site alone. It’s designed as a family activity for parents and children to do together.

We give users the option of creating their accounts with information Facebook gives us - but, other than the request for that information, Facebook receives no information about you or your kids.  You can also send friend requests over Facebook so that people can be friends with your kids, but since it's based on your friends' Facebook accounts, Facebook never even knows who's sending the invitation.
